This Strawberry Sauce requires just 3 ingredients and takes less than 10 minutes to make! It’s perfect to spread on toast, top cheesecake or a yogurt bowl and of course, eat by the spoonful!
2cups(300g) medium strawberries about 16 strawberries, chopped
1/2cup(100g) granulated sugar
good squeeze of lemon juice
Instructions
For the Strawberry Sauce
Rinse 300g of strawberries (about 16 medium strawberries) and roughly chop them.
Add chopped strawberries, 1/2 cup (100g) of sugar and a squeeze of lemon juice to a small saucepan and stir over medium/high heat for 5 minutes, it will thicken and break down a bit.
Reduce the heat to low and stir for another 2-3 minutes, making sure to break down some of the larger chunks. I prefer to leave a few larger chunks of strawberry in my strawberry sauce but that’s up to you!
Remove the strawberry sauce from the heat, allow to cool and serve as you like, it’s THAT easy!
